This is an obviously beautiful photo. The colors are appealing and attractive, differing shades of light purple and bright pinks and yellows. It successfully captures the depth of the landscape and the incredible beauty of the moment. However, it doesn't seem very meaningful. I've seen a lot of beautiful landscape pictures and besides the aesthetic and technique of this one, it differs very little from those. A more interesting subject than a mountain and the sunrise is needed to fully distinguish this picture from ones like it and make it great. Besides that, the picture accomplishes what is meant to; it brings a moment of breathtaking beauty to life and impresses the audience with the beauty and solitude of the moment. The photo captures and retransmits a feeling, but fails to give the audience something to think about. With the considerable talent of the photographer, this picture is a moment frozen in time that you will be glad you took the time to experience and enjoy.
