I was surprised to see such captivating art from such an underrated artist. You're a diamond in the rough, my friend. This photograph is absolutely gorgeous. I know it's not the most original idea on deviantART, but your vision/execution is flawless. Have any publishers contacted you with requests to make this into a post card? I'm sure the Nordreisan tourists will love it. There is something very magical about deep pine forests surrounded by mountains and high plateaus.
Even the HDR processing is tastefully done.
The only thing wrong with this photograph is that it is not mine. Great job!
I swear this looks like a painting. Like somehow more beautiful than what the human eye can see when presently there, if we were to get rid of our distracting thoughts, feelings, and senses and only have sight.
Ugh, I need to live by places like this, hehe. I bet it's such a serene, great, eye-opening experience to be in the locations you photograph.
Thank you so much for the fine compliments you've given me. And don't you worry I've been at location that doesn't look anything near amazing. Also I have to find places that the regular photographers doesn't shoot on a daily basis. And I'm shooting at on of those location I need tell myself before hand that I want my image to stand out from the classic ones. The thing about HDR is that you've got a risk of ruining the scene if you mess around too much, so you need to be aware of how you want it to look
Sounds complicated. I know nothing about photography, really. I've read a few things and saw a documentary or two but it was mostly darkroom stuff. So the effects and vibrancy isn't photoshop post-work, the camera is doing it?
I use an application called photomatix, what it does is basically merge different exposures together and brings forth darks and lights, so you'll get a photography with alot more contrast
Even the HDR processing is tastefully done.
The only thing wrong with this photograph is that it is not mine. Great job!
