I caught this aurora-flare at midnight the 2nd Feb 2013.
It might look weird in the sense of proportions, don't worry, it's my new toy, a fisheye lens :)

Hope you guys like it :)

I love the swirly feeling of this picture. The fisheye lens was a very good choice for the pattern of this particular aurora.

So what have you been up to apart from hating internet and everything it stands for?

Yes, with the girl on the beach :)
I'm still in the same situation, we'll apply for residency in May, then I'll actually be able to do something :happybounce:

Do you still have plans to come down here next month?

My plans have changed, I'm going to Spain and Ireland next month, and England the month after.
I will however visit New Zealand some year, just not this one.

I'm currently figuring out the pros and cons about it :) Be sure there will be another fisheye shot very soon :)

I suppose a pro would be that you have a lot more freedom to shoot a big scenery and have a lot to look at. A few cons I guess would be that it can look more distorted than creative if you don't take the shot just right and that may be frustrating at times..

At least that's what I experienced when filming with a fisheye..

Good luck working out how to utilize it to the fullest! Looking forward to see more. :)
