The Aurora Phoenix by torivarn The Aurora Phoenix by torivarn
This is from January 24th 2012. It was a few days we had exceptional much and strong northern lights around the world.
Northern lights were seen as far down as the northern parts of England.

This is one of my retouches as I've dedicated this weekend too. This falls into the category of previously not-uploaded-before :)

hope you guys like it :)

It's amazing. An artist once said "No man can match Gods palette" and I do believe that this proves his point. =^.^=

This does look like a phoenix rising. :wow: Wish I could see the Lights...Mom and a friend have seen them most of a night on the friend's deck....in Maine. In SUMMER. Lots of ionospheric activity that year. Haven't seen anything since. :(

I can't wait to witness another M-class or even X if I'm lucky this year. I just have to chase away the clouds first :S
